I was contacted by Atlantic Records to help create a music video for a certain Hip-Hop artist. The music video was part animation, part live action puppets. I was in charge of the production of the animated section of the music video. My part was finished in time, but the live-action part was never finished and the project got cancelled. The problem was that Atlantic Records liked it but the final word went to the artist, who didn't like because it didn't make him look 'cool' enough.
Of course, the whole thing plays better with the song, but I don't have the right to use it. Just imagine some generic hip hop song and you'll get the idea.
A few screenshots.
How did that not make him look cool? |
