I was commissioned by CBS to do a drawing representing a San Francisco landscape for the wall of their cafeteria. The drawing was to be a black and white line drawing that they wanted to blow up (up to 4000%!!!) and print on vinyl. I warned them that blowing up the drawing too much wouldn't look good no matter what their scanner, but we proceeded. It turned out it didn't look right and since they needed their mural done within 48h, they ended up using something else. I still got my full fee so at least there was that!
As for the composition, my knowledge of SF being quite limited, they sent me some kind of collage of what they had in mind.
The two empty boards on the left and right sides were where the actual postboards of the cafeteria were.
